I could understand them reacting strongly in private, trying to figure out who could have written it. But reacting publicly gives this concoction too much credibility.
Desperate people do and believe desperate things. They were so sure that Trump would never be the nominee, but he was. They were sure he would never get elected, but he did. They were sure that he would never be sworn in, but he was. They were sure he wouldn’t make 6 months in office, but he did. They had covens of witches trying cast spells to through him out but it didn’t work. They were sure the Russian collusion, his tweets, Stormy Daniels, obstruction, and other manufactured scandals would force him to step down, but it didn’t. They are desperate, they will believe anything at this point if it gives them even a glimmer of hope it will force Trump out.
The NYT has been getting by with these kinds of stunts for as long as I can remember. Not always so blatant and obvious but that is not the point. Just continually throwing stuff out to keep people stirred up. Morning Joe and whats her name sure like to promote this kind of unverified gossip as tho it is fact based. One person who does not like Trump will be translated as EVERYBODY hates him. I think that it is best to call the NYT on this particular item because the more it is talked about the question does become why not verify the authenticity of the claims? They have withheld, or so we have been told about past rumors and claims, what they could not verify as fact. It seems to be backfiring on them in any case. Pres Trump is no George Bush with a reluctance to fight back. GO TRUMP.
