Tottenham fans are celebrating after their star forward Son Heung-min secured an exemption from military service by winning gold at the Asian Games - but we doubt their celebrations matched the joyous scenes among the South Korea players and staff.
South Korea beat Japan 2-1 in an extra time thriller this Saturday meaning the entire team will not need to spend nearly two years in the military.
After a goalless 90 minutes, three goals were scored in extra time.
South Korea opened the scoring, before netting another goal.
But Japan closed the gap with one of their own.
South Korea held on to claim gold and the squad celebrated wildly on the pitch at the full-time whistle.

South Korea is still technically at war with its neighbour North Korea and all male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 have been required to perform 21 months of compulsory military service since 1957.
However, exemptions are made to athletes who win gold at the Asian Games or any medal at the Olympics.
Son committed his future to Spurs before the this summer's World Cup in Russia by signing a five-year deal to remain at the north London club.
They don’t want to serve/protect their country for 2 years but will serve for the money with a 5 year contract
Based on that argument we have many more enemies than either one of those countries. I think you’ll see it return here with a two-tier pay scale for conscripts and professionals.
A lot of folks around here make it sound like everyone was thrilled to get their draft notice. From I recall, it was not a celebratory event.
But, I was but a wee lad at the time.
I understand their enthusiasm.
