Is that how the world works? Maybe you are right...if you don’t kneel to the arbitrary demands of the elite, they will most assuredly do their best to punish you in the most extreme manner possible. Still I wouldn’t say that is the way America is supposed to work, in fact it sounds a bit like tyranny

It has little to do with tyranny and all to do with humans. Unless you are God everyone has people with power over them and being a troublemaker or unnecessarily annoying them will get you into trouble in every human social system.

There are boundaries and limits.

And social norms and common courtesies , none of which require you to disobey requests from people in a position of authority. Despite any liberal pretensions to the contrary students should are in school to obtain an education not ostentatious virtue signaling of their political principles.

The social Contract is based on a certain level of courtesy and basic manners. Mentally healthy non-pervert adults teach (or indoctrinate) by example.

Any teacher that lets students disobey requests from them will have no authority with them anymore and any teacher that does not shut it down right away will not last long in the profession. Teachers are not there to be friends to students.

Following your advice would make me less of a citizen and a failure as a parent.

I'm sorry you feel that way as I've always thought it necessary to teach children pragmatism and dealing with potentially hostile world views without being rude or obnoxious. I wish you the best with your crusade in remaking the world according to your desires.
