The Guardian print circulation is in the 100,000-150,000 range, same as any tiny town newspaper circulation ... the newest fake means to report circulation is to report ‘combined’ print circulation with online page hits because print numbers are so dismal ... combined numbers don’t mean jack and quoting wiki as a definitive source for any of that is simply quoting The Guardian itself since no doubt they control their own wiki page ... wiki is nothing but propaganda unless one is looking up something like the molecular weight of water ... and even that is sometimes suspect ...

There was a brief opening in leftist politics towards a sort of post-racial paradigm (no client groups in other words) but that lost steam back around 1970. I remember Pierre Trudeau of all people musing early on in his political career about just doing away with Canada’s whole Indian Act apparatus and everything that came with special status. Nowadays that sort of talk would be instantly labelled ultra-right wing. But if you think about it, the left is supposed to be less concerned with culture preservation than the right, so in some ways, the left should be entirely blind to racial differences. That was probably an ideal of communism that never actually saw much if any practical application to their otherwise doomed social engineering models.
