I was just on a blog post today about the death of John McCain and there was a discussion about his integrity compared to his opponents. And one of the people he was compared to was his Republican primary opponent of 2000 George Bush.
This comment caught my eye;

I decided to do some digging and from what I found out it originated from an interview with Tucker Carlson

During her interview with King, however, Tucker did imply that Bush was succumbing to election-year pressure from pro-death penalty voters. Apparently Bush never forgot it. Like from what I could see the only evidence I can see is Tucker Carlson's take on the interview not a transcript or anything like that.
So I just wanted to know out of curiosity was it ever confirmed whether Bush ever did that or if Bush himself ever denied doing so? Of all the things I've seen thrown at him over the years I can only vaguely recall this being brought up even once.
Why?
Karla Faye Tucker was an execrable POS. Her murders were brutal beyond belief.
Bush did the right thing.
did Karla’s victims plead for their lives as she hacked them with a pickaxe?
She was a double murderer.
And I’ve seen McCain mock so many people that it’s hard to list them all, top of the list “wacko bird” Trump voters. McCain is a first-class low life, and America’s better because he’s not involved in the governing.
McCain never served America, he serviced America.
She had the “I’m to cute to execute” attitude. She was incredibly cruel in the methods she used to murder people.
Think how vicious a woman’s crimes have to be that even the P pass couldn’t get her out of it.
McCain was never a nice person. Now go sit in the corner.
So what if he did? She left a victim alive with a pickaxe in his chest and begging for her to kill him.

If it was true it wasn't Bush directly. Karl Rove maybe. If it was true I repeat.
What kind of idiots thought the Bushes were nice people? They were sent here from Germany by certain powerful bankers to run their American operations. Back then it was spelled “Busch” not “Bush” and Poppy’s father dealt with the Nazis, which is well-documented. I could go on and on.

I thought it was BJ Clinton who was rumored to have fathered a black child.
The 2008 election scandal was that McCain had an affair with a lobbyist. The media covered that rumor while they defended not covering John Edward’s bastard love child.
Um, that was one of the Dems, Al Gore's campaign strategist, that brought up giving convicted and still locked up murderers day-passes to go out and continue the things that murderers are wont to do, like not go back to prison, head out of state, and pick up killing like he never stopped...
And yes, the future Bush41 did continue to use the furlough program as an issue in his campaign.
Karl Rove said Monday that he had “nothing to do” with a whisper campaign during the 2000 Republican presidential primary claiming Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) had an illegitimate black child.
Rove, who was working for then-Gov. George W. Bush, said during an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” that the rumor came from “a professor at Bob Jones University” and not the Bush campaign.

I don’t think this account even justifies a condemnation of bush.
The murderer mocked their victims in the worst way humanly possible. There were no trials.
The bush hate was an important expansion of the Republican reactionary ethic that dominates our intellectual culture and is aimed again at a Republican President.
Some thought at the time he mocked her for the way she begged him to pardon her.
He didn't approach Bill Maher territory on her.......but he did make a bit of fun for the way she begged him.
