He should pardon him, IMO

The solitary confinement is reason enough.

Oh the humanity.

I think he should pardon him as well - on Nov 7.

Manafort has been railroaded and is a victim of selective prosecution.

Trump is absolutely right that no aide to clinton would ever go thru this.

Nevertheless, Manafort appears to be guilty of at least some income tax evasion related crimes so I think he should serve a couple of more months.

I actually also think Trump should pardon michael cohen for the same reason.

It would be the ultimate “Trump” move.

I want to see that back stabbing a-hole turn it down !

What happened to Manafort could happen to any one of us or all of us, as most everybody has made slight errors on their tax forms.

And of course, when you are tangentially associated with President Trump as Mr. Manafort may have been, you assumed guilty by our current attorney general..

Sure; exercising Constitutional Presidential authority is a “rogue” act when the left doesn’t like it.

You folks out there in America land, have got to realize and come to terms with the fact that the Democrat Party & their Media goons, along with their DOJ/FBI cronies are fighting for their political survival. “THEY HAVE TO BRING POTUS, DONALD J. TRUMP DOWN”, or they die on the political line of failure.

See...it’s quite simple, Mr. & Mrs. American voter, you go to the polls on November 6, 2018 and you cast your votes for every Republican running for either U.S. Senator, House of Representatives and Governor of their state. When that happens....the Democrat Party is dead politically.

You do have two choices, good folks, one, you give the full power of the federal government to Donald J. Trump and his Republican Party and they save, build, maintain freedom/opportunities for “ALL” Americans, & the American Republic or, you give the political power to the Democrat Party to weaken & destroy this nation Republic. Give the Democrats ten to twenty years of rule and you all will be speaking either Russian or Chinese (They are coming, the handwriting is clearly on the wall).

You all better think long & hard about how you are casting your vote this election cycle. Inside, the Democrat Party,”Big Brother” (He is always watching you), is both alive, well & criminal inside the Democrat Party!!! The Russians & the Chinese love it!!! Wake up, people!!!

Support, POTUS, Donald J. Trump....Go, Trump, Go, MAGAm Go, America!!!

Another “Politico” preemptive strike piece aimed at preventing the president of the US of doing his job.

How low that publication has come as it continues its descent into the garbage pile of leftist journalism.

January 19th of 2024 is fine by me...

Manafort and that dick, Cohen may have been caught by proper means but, this is not the way to get there and the process is out of scope

He only needs to commute Manafort’s sentence. He should not pardon him for the crimes he committed.

The left is using every tool they have to try and bring Trump down, so by all means, he should use his tools and do stuff like pardoning his folks who have been unfairly targeted.

The left wants to impeach him... and if they get the votes (illegal or not) in Nov, they will. Screw it... he should pardon everyone he can, and he should declassify everything he can think of... scorched earth.

I can picture a later canceling of the jail term w/o an actual full pardon.

There is no way Manafort should stay in prison as long as Hilary Clinton (paid Fusion GPS a million dollars without reporting if to the FEC,) Rick Gates( in addition to committing every crime Manafort is charged with, Gates stole millions from Manafort as well), Lois Lerner ( destroyed evidence by trashing computers with evidence) , Strzok, McCabe, Comey and a whole army of Democratic Party criminals are not only still walking free, they haven’t even been charged with the crimes they committed yet.
Pardoning Manafort is a no brained. However since Gestapo Heinrich Mueller is dragging things along by scheduling yet another trial after this one, Trump will have to wait till all the trials are finished before pardoning Manafort.

Trump is eventually going to have to fight for his office on the floor of the Senate.

This is true whether or not the GOP retains control of the House.

In my view, the sold-out globalist caucus of the House GOP is just waiting for Mueller to deliver something, anything, they can use to justify joining the Democrats to impeach Trump - and they haven't done it yet because they want to be re-elected in November.

So, in my mind, a Senate trial is an inevitability, and the sooner, the better.

i would expect him to wait until after the next trial is finished and post-midterms. i heard that the reason that some of the Mueller investigations have been moved to NY is to make use of state charging of crimes - which are not covered by presidential pardon. this takes the pardon possibility away from Prez and makes prosecutorial squeeze more potent. does this sound feasible?
