John Brennan, the former CIA Director and chief counterterrorism advisor to President Obama, once offered effusive words of praise for Hezbollah.
In August of 2009, Obama's former counterterrorism adviser stated the following:
"Hezbollah started out as purely a terrorist organization back in the early '80s and has evolved significantly over time. And now it has members of parliament, in the cabinet. There are lawyers, doctors, others who are part of the Hezbollah organization... And so, quite frankly, I'm pleased to see that a lot of Hezbollah individuals are in fact renouncing that type of terrorism and violence and are trying to participate in the political process [in Lebanon] in a very legitimate fashion."
Hezbollah is largely believed to have orchestrated the 2005 truck-bombing assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.
In January of 2011, Hezbollah demanded that the Lebanese government end its support of a tribunal that was investigating Hariri's assassination. When the demand was rejected, Hezbollah withdrew from the government and the government collapsed, enabling the terrorist organization to form a newly elected pro hezbollah government.
But who can cast doubt on Hezbollah's altruistic motives when, according to John Brennan's keen insight, the terrorist organization is "trying to participate in the political process in a very legitimate fashion."
In 2017, Politico published a lengthy exposé revealing the Obama administration's efforts to derail "an ambitious law enforcement campaign targeting Hezbollah's drug trafficking" cartel, which was amassing $1 billion a year to help finance Hezbollah's terrorist operations.
But, once again, who can question the Obama administration's altruistic motives in helping Hezbollah, when, according to John Brennan's keen insight, the terrorist organization is "trying to participate in the political process in a very legitimate fashion."
On Wednesday, in an interview with NBC's Nicole Wallace, Mr. Brennan used the word "dangerous", not to describe Hezbollah, or the Obama administration's policies toward Hezbollah, or his own extolment of Hezbollah, but rather to describe the "actions" of President Trump, who hours earlier had revoked Mr. Brennan's security clearance.
"I never, ever thought that I would see it here in the United States," Brennan said, in reference to Trump's security clearance revocations. "I do believe that all Americans really need to take stock of what is happening right now in our government, and how abnormal and how irresponsible and how dangerous these actions are."
Once again, Mr. Brennan was not referring to the Obama administration's efforts to protect Hezbollah's drug trafficking" cartel, or his own views of Hezbollah. He was referring to President Trump's "dangerous" effort to revoke the security clearance of Brennan, the counter terrorism expert.
He should be yanked by a rope from a tree (of course after a fair trial and conviction ).
Was it Brennan or Clapper who admitted voting for a Communist rather than Reagan?
Brennan or Clapper who is believed to have converted to the Muslim religion?
He also supports communism.
“Hezbollah started out as purely a terrorist organization back in the early ‘80s and has evolved significantly over time. And now it has members of parliament, in the cabinet. There are lawyers, doctors, others who are part of the Hezbollah organization... And so, quite frankly, I’m pleased to see that a lot of Hezbollah individuals are in fact renouncing that type of terrorism and violence and are trying to participate in the political process [in Lebanon] in a very legitimate fashion.”
What the statement shows is that Brennan is a fool. He mistakes the political and professional activities of various Hezbollah members as if those individuals renounce the violence and violent militias of Hezbollah. But there is no such positions that have come from the Hezbollah members in Lebanon’s parliament or from the classes of professionals that have membership in Hezbollah. Those activities are more honestly in the realm of subversion and political protection for the violence of Hezbollah.
Brennen is simply an idiot that chooses to replace facts with his ignorant perceptions.
Obama can really pick 'em, can't he?
