General Burkhalter (Leon Askin) lived right across the street from my elementary school in the ‘70s, and I used to see him walk his little dog almost every morning on the way to school. Sometimes my friends and I would hum the HH theme song when we saw him and he’d smile and wave.

Haha - Mr Drysdale lived down the street from us and Ray Milland drove his car into our garage door (as intoxicated as anyone’s ever been) :)

Askin was in one of my all-time favorite movies, “One, Two, Three” as the member of the Russian trade delegation.

He also made a quick cameo appearance in “Airplane II” as the Russian news announcer.
