The better question is why the media has any objective other than reporting news for the purpose of informing the public? The fact that it advocates any political agenda at all is troubling.

Yup. Conflict gets ratings and sells papers. The more conflict, the more money and the more material to fill a 24-hour news cycle.

What has happened to change this authors conclusion? Never did Facebook or social media, but Duck Duck Go gets sites that are no longer PC for google search such as gun rights, the Muslim problem, and Deep State.

First of all, it’s a mistake to call them “the media”.
The media is not the press.
What we have now, should rightfully be referred to as the propaganda arm of the democratic party. The media today is just a division of the democratic party, and the democrats are the ones dividing the country. Their media arm is just the means by which the democrats accomplish their mission to divide and conquer the people.
The “media” being mentioned hates to be called “fake news”, but only because people are finally realizing what that media actually is. They are the wolves in sheep’s clothing. They don’t represent the news at all.
The media is the dark trying to overcome the light and it won’t work.
