This is being recycled-when I was a kid, there were news bites on TV, and magazine articles about this insect eating-my mom and aunts teased us-one afternoon, they told us with straight faces to go to go out in the brush near the hay barn and fill an empty coffee can with big grasshoppers for a dinner dish-they thought it was hilarious when we freaked out. Then when I was about 7, a friend of my parents who was working someplace in the Far East sent a box of chocolate covered fried ants as a present and we kids ate some before reading the box-it wasn’t bad-chocolate is chocolate...
LOL. When my grandsons were younger they were watching me swat some flies one day. They asked me what I did with them so I told them we put them in the freezer, and when we had enough we made fly soup. They thought that was pretty cool... until the day they realized I was joking.
