It would be money well spent if they would cancel their return tickets. But, somehow, I suspect, that this is not the idea.

It’s a good thing they have an “operational pause” in their home countries’ chaos once in a while, so they can go back to the old neighborhood, see friends and family, hang out around town, before it descends into a hell hole again and they’re forced to flee to the welcoming arms of Europe.
