For the first time I tried to watch a press briefing last night. Normally I’m only exposed to those “dramatic” encounters on youtube. This one was just a really stupid exercise in futility. If that’s really all they are, they should be eliminated except when something important happens, like 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. And perhaps a monthly one on top of that. Half hour should be fine.
And when she points to one reporter after answering the question of the previous one, and the previous one keeps obnoxiously trying to ask irrelevant follow ups, she should be able to say, “Security, would you pleas remove this man/woman?” And then we wait, while they rea tazed and dragged out, Hillary style.
Ok, just kidding about the tazer part. :)
Just don’t televise it, provide everyone with a transcript.
I look forward to seeing them.
Yep, they like showing and acting out their activism on TV
Random pick the reporter. Only allow 5 questions
A Press that surreptitiously funnels the Presidential Debate questions to one of the candidates
is clearly an enemy of the people, a propaganda arm of a political party and worthy of having derision heaped upon it.
His new nickname should be Sandbox Jimmy . . .
#SandboxJimmy
Completely agree
Throw some bleach into the WH press pool and issue credentials to reporters who agree to a code of conduct
Then use the SS as bouncers as needed
This orchestrated chaos by fools like Acosta could easily mask a dry run ( in which he wittingly or unwittingly played a role as distractor) for a terrorist attack on the WH, the POTUS, or a visiting foreign leader
Just ban Costa and replace him with another shill from CNN.
That ought to make their heads do a Linda Blair (Regan in Exorcist)
Raise hands, no shout outs
Those are the rules now but as we all see CNN doesn’t follow any rules which is why Acosta needs to be removed.
Gee wonder why?
Ya think maybe because he is as big an A-hole at home as he is at work.
Have them email or tweet their questions. Any the President feels like answering gets posted to the White House web site.
There is nothing in the Constitution which requires the President to talk to reporters.
I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but using Obama's approval rating as a standard for comparison is a very low bar. Obama's unfavorable rating at this point in his first term resulted in the historic nationwide Republican landslide in the 2010 elections. We need to do a hellofalot better than that.
At one point the Trump administration said they would stop televising the White House Briefings and then backed down. Why?
Bar all cameras. Without sound bites to show off their grandstanding the press may start asking real questions to get answers and not just shout out whatever they think will make them look good to their liberal base on TV.
Who on earth uses a Fax these days?
Are you serious, or did you forget the /s?
Who on earth uses a Fax these days?
Ill bet the Feral Gubmint has a few hundred they could blow the dust off of laying around somewhere.
L
Ban CNN from the briefings.
Such a study is beyond what I could presently undertake, but such an examination would be necessary before I could answer your question.
