Here is Alan Dershowitz on CNN battling it out with “Porny” Daniels Lawyer – Michael Avenatti over Avenatti’s claimed conversation with Michael Cohen and the 2016 Trump Tower Meeting. The two went after each other, with Dershowitz saying the meeting doesn’t amount to much, even if Trump knew about it prior to the meeting. Dershowitz said it is just NOT a crime even if Trump actively sought dirt on Hillary and collusion itself is not a crime!
Dershowitz destroyed him, with his calm, fact-based manner. The longer it went, the more emotional Avenatti got! By the end of it, he was just insulting Dershowitz up one side and down the other. Dershowitz nailed him on why he was even talking to Michael Cohen when Cohen was represented by another attorney. Dershowitz, who taught legal ethics for 35 years, said you are not allowed to do so unless you have permission for the person’s lawyer. Avenatti claimed he had permission from Cohen – which Dershowitz said is not enough. . . .

Going forward, who is going to feel comfortable disclosing anything to a lawyer with the knowledge that said lawyer might turn on them and divulge everything?

Talking to Russians, Germans, Japanese, French or even Canadien/Canadian people is still not a crime. (Unless you are a Republican).
