They don’t need to be regulated like a utility, but SCOTUS established many years ago that when a private company controls the public square in the same way that government traditionally does, the First Amendment’s prohibitions on censorship apply to them. We just need a statute clarifying that.

They operate as a political entity. If churches and the NRA have to follow a whole body of law to remain legal, so should Zuckerberg.

Agree - those who consider themselves conservative and think there’s a series of “Noble Cause” clauses in the Constitution are every bit as dangerous as the Left.
