The Book on Sessions is that he is very adverse to confrontation.

Not a good characteristic for an AG at this time.

Plus he is a Statist, not down for fighting for Personal Liberty.

“The Book on Sessions is that he is very adverse to confrontation.”

Which is strange, because it seemed he was the only one in the whole congress fighting TPP.

Very averse to confrontation? I am not familiar with such book on Sessions. What I am familiar with is Sessions's twenty year history as a prosecutor - one of the single most confrontational careers in existence. Six years as Assistant U.S. Attorney, twelve years as U.S. Attorney for Southern District of Alabama, and two years as Attorney General of Alabama. Unafraid of controversy, USA Sessions prosecuted and destroyed the Ku Klux Klan in Alabama, earning the nickname "Silent Assassin" in the process.

I share your concerns about Sessions's aggressive views toward personal liberty, but I don't doubt for a minute that he is quietly and deliberately waging President Trump's stealth war against the coup plotters. Time will tell...
