Bar some controversial choices, Melania Trump quickly and easily asserted herself as one of the most fashionable first ladies in America's history. Thanks to an unearthed video, we've discovered that's because 2016 wasn't the first time Melania was sworn into the White House.
Back when she was Melanija Knavs, the future FLOTUS posed as the first female president of the US in a Slovenian fashion ad.
In the low-budget shootwith tragically '90s musicMelania disembarks 'Air Force One' and talks with reporters on the tarmac before being escorted by the Secret Service to be sworn in as president.

The 23-year-old dons quintessential '90's fashiona shoulder-padded trench coat, a power suit, angular sunglasses, and untamed hair.
"It is the most extraordinary historical coincidence, she looked refined, elegant, really presidential," said Joica Brodaric who identified herself to Univision as the ad's scriptwriter.
The coincidence is even more on the nose when you realise what documents Melania is signing towards the end of the mini-film.
After she's sworn in, her first course of action is to sign documents that the real presidenther future husbandwould never approve.
"In the document, she is approving three people to cross the border between two countries, it's an immigration document," Natalija Gorscak, director of Slovenian National Television, told Univision.
Three years after shooting the ad, Melania immigrated to the U.S to work as a model, although some reports suggest she may have actually arrived illegally in 1995.
In 1998, she met Donald and her journey back to the presidency was set in motion.
She was even better-looking at 23.
Although that 80’s synth music was AWFUL
Amazing clip!
And compared to the garbage-infused noise of today, I’ll take that horrid synth music all day long.
Oh, we’ve seen this before.
When he was first running the ad was dusted off. We were all impressed !
She’s such a pretty lady. But I’m glad the fashion industry ditched the shoulder pads.
I don’t remember that music from the 80s. Glad I missed it.
She’s NOT posing as POTUS. That is the EU flag on her desk, and the plane is not identified as Air Force One. I’d love for her to take Juncker’s place.
Or heck, she can just come over to my place...

“Policija”? “Caprice Classic”? Is this some kind of joke?
She’s hot... but she’s NOT playing a US president but a Slovenia president. The only flag that appears in the ad is a Slovenian flag at 1:44... and it is on her desk.
Does the First Lady take an oath of office?
