It’s hard to know what the future holds. History is full of surprises.
Most of the clinically insane occupy high profile jobs in the media. The left’s numbers are large but concentrated in a few geographic areas, and their leadership and power brokers are a lot more radical than most of their rank and file.
I think we’re already starting to see a political realignment that they hadn’t banked on. It was evident even in Hussein’s remarks today. He’s just as crazy as the biggest radicals among them, but even he sees they’re out over their skiis and is trying to bring them back in (at least rhetorically - the only way they win).
I don’t see that happening, however. Their base got a taste of socialism and they want more. They’re alienating more and more voters with their incendiary rhetoric and insane ideas. It ain’t over yet.
Well I’ve said that socialism is a false filler for where faith ought to be.
