Public-sector unions have been gaming the political system for decades, bankrupting whole cities and plunging states into massive debt. How did this happen and can it be stopped? Akash Chougule, senior policy fellow for Americans for Prosperity, has the answers in this sobering video from Prager University.
The SC decision should change that
Albeit slowly
“How did this happen “
We can thank JFK and the Democrats for that...just another way of imposing government control over this Republic.
Bkmrk.
The thing with the public sector Unions as the video talks about is a public sector Union can go on strike and shut down all or parts of a city. They also don't have someone with skin in the game on the other side of the bargaining table. They should be dissolved. Every single one of the public sector Unions. Private Unions are different. They have real owned companies to deal with; many with shareholders to keep negotiations honest. A private sector Union can opt to not enter into another deal with the Union. The Public sector doesn't have that option. All public sector Unions need to be dissolved. Every single one. JFK allowed them and now we are paying for that huge mistake. It helped him at the time but hurt every taxpayer.
Great video. So if all it took was an executive order by Kennedy, then it can be repealed yes? There must have been some case law that affirmed the right of public sector unions to organize.
