I hate Becerra but the judge is correct.

How is the judge correct in his expected final dismissal? The language of the statute is clear. Even though the law was flouted when Jerry Brown became AG, that doesn’t mean that the law is invalidated by a bad precedent.

No the judge is not correct, but in any event, but unless he goes over the rules of stutory interpretation with a fine comb and comes to the correct conclusion - to enforce the constitutional provision according to its clear and unambiguous terms, this is headed for the COA.

Pity the poor judge (well I don't actually), but if he disqualifies Becerra he is toast and if he lets it go without a colorable argument, the court of appeals (or ultimately CA supreme court) gets to smack him down.
