They are the auditors so it still won't work. They would fake the books just like they do already in everything else controlled by government. We need to be way past the point of thinking the rule makers will themselves play by the rules. They won't.

The whole point of block-chain/cryto-currency is the INABILITY to fake the process. One word that ANY ‘backdoor’ exists (and the hackers, white > black *WILL* be attempting to find any/all) and it becomes worthless instantly.

The only way, IMO, is to return to Const. currency. Harder to fake weights/measures/etc. But that would take down ALL the Socialist ‘safety net(s)’ that even the (R)N(C) pretends to shake their fists at.
