Those were early days. You don’t see that kind of stuff very often now. The reaction screed was rhetorically exaggerated and quite overblown.
Many of the oldtimers here have offended the powers that be from time to time. A genteel response and polite request for reinstatement usually works. It’s the diehards who make mountains of molehills defending basically their ego rather than their debate points who write these kinds of opuses.
It’s posts like 232 that played a big part. I don’t understand the need for the personal insults. Especially when insults seem to be like 90% of the person’s posts here. That’s what Sean and many others don’t like and it hasn’t stopped. It’s different if the poater actually wrote even one substantial article like the ones they attack.
