I own two Saiga AK variants and they are by far the cheapest made and least safe guns in my safe. Be careful with these Russian pieces of junk.

Agreed. They strike me as being more of a novelty than anything.

Molot makes the best quality Russian made variant’s.

I got a Saiga 410 new for $185, It works fine as designed for full brass shot shells.

Expensive to operate and plastic shell are not dependable.

It is what it is.

I have a 922R converted Saiga .308 and it is rock solid. Certainly not junk compared to the ones I’ve seen at the range. The sporter configuration (as imported to get around restrictions) is quite terrible but I don’t think anyone expects to keep it this way. Also get some decent mags like the CSSpecs. Century is top of the doo doo heap.
