Lots of Alumni in Companies are Progressives. Lots of companies have been willing to put the Progressive agenda ahead of profits.
Look at the stupidity of Dick’s move to drop AR15 rifles.
The ideology is the biggest problem, IMHO.

Yes. I saw personalities involved from the inside in an English program in a small university town, and later, while working temp jobs in offices for a few years.
Telephone, satellite television and large software company offices presented some of the most interesting and hideous sideshows. University English programs are the checkpoint for journalists, teachers and others. Corporate officers, investors and government administrators have some input on policies (alumni, placement, others).
The socially healthiest offices were offices in a natural gas company and a trucking company. Even those were starting to go south in some ways.
