Because Americans are ignorant of their Constitution, we should ignore the Constitution? There are a lot of things in the Constitution I am likely less schooled in, but we have people in government who got there because they are supposed to know the Constitution and make sure government/citizens are acting in concord with it for those of us who may not be as knowledgeable.
As far as I am concerned, it should have never been an issue in any election. I don’t think that subject is unclear, and when a candidate submits papers to run, it should be an integral part of the process.
