We are going to have to build that wall. Imagine Mexico going down the path of Venezuela...

We’re gonna need a bigger wall.

Now that Mexico has chosen to go socialist, it’s more important than ever to close the borders. For too long the USA has made up for Mexico’s economic failures. That has to stop. Let the Mexicans enjoy the fruits of their vote, as they shut down businesses, seize their assets (”nationalizing”), and redistribute the wealth that remains. Meanwhile, the hard-working producers will flee Mexico, making the situation even worse.

Not a cent of aid. They voted. They chose. They take the consequences.

Met a Canuk couple last night at a local izakaya (bar)..

Friendly as can be (as tourists; I ended up being a translator).

All was well until (and I knew this was coming...), they (actually, the 6’5” husband.. the wife was actually from the UK, and kept telling the husband to keep politics out of it.. she backed me ;^)) mention Trump, and the problems that ‘Trump’ has caused.
I backed my way out of the conversation carefully since I live in the building that the owner of the bar runs ( >.<)...

Anyway, he started telling me that U.S.A is also a socialist country, and started listing all the the govt. run orgs that relies on tax money. I had tried to explain that the taxes (and also mentioned that Texas is one of the states that has NO state taxes) were to support the education and protection jobs (fire dept. police dept.), and had to emphasize that there are NO unions in Texas (using Texas as an example, because that is where I was from).

He THEN brought up Socialized hospital care (I was waiting for this one ;)), and how wonderful it was.. I then asked him, “Then why are all of the people that can afford it going south (to the USA) to get better treatment within a reasonable time?”
His answer: “You don’t know what you are talking about.. no one goes outside of Canada to health care..”; His wife then interrupts him and says, “Well, there are many that go down to Mexico for cheap health care..”...
It wasn’t the point I was trying to make, but it put more weight on that subject, because WHO, in their right mind, would spend the money to jump a whole country just to get cheaper medical (in a third world sh!thole country) care rather than use the totally free (minus the taxes) for the healthcare >.<?!?!

BTW, they were from Vancouver.

Other than that, very nice couple ;^)

Mexico, historically, has never been that much of an ally of the United States.

Well, it is Ann Arbor. A lot like California, full of fruits and nuts.
