Why bother reading or commenting on a thread that doesn’t interest you? ...just to belittle something others enjoy? The game is nothing as you describe if you know what you’re talking about, which you clearly don’t. Do you realize how boring an NFL game is much of the time? The TV timeouts, the 3+ hours to play a game...then there’s baseball...don’t get me started.
As I sit here I’m watching France beating Argentina 4-2. It has been anything but boring. Just because you don’t appreciate it yourself don’t s*it all over it for everyone else.
That’s ok....part of the fun of World Cup season is bugging non soccer fans! I love the game but cannot watch women’s soccer ( too dykey)!
Why ask? You answer your own question. And, I agree with you. All of it— boring. But soccer... more so. Having been dragged to World Cup parties..... sorry. A decision made to not live life as a spectator sport-— now that is not boring. And, a matter of taste which no-one is arguing.
