Israeli missiles struck at Damascus International Airport in the early morning hours of Tuesday June 26th. Syrian sources reported the attack.
The attack is said to have been on an Iranian cargo plane. Syrian anti-aircraft defenses went into action with a pro-government source claiming an object was destroyed southwest of Damascus.
Today (June 25th) the Israeli DEBKA website claimed that a drone targeted by an Israeli Patriot missile Sunday was participating in the offensive against jihadist opposition in SW Syria curently underway. DEBKA quoted a Syrian officer as its source.
The Israeli attack on Damasacus came in the wake of Syrian regime forces storming into the town of Busra al Harir following Russian air attacks over the weekend. A pro-government source said the Syrian army has secured positions in the town tonight.
The Syrian government said its forces have retaken 400 square miles of territory north and east of Busra al Harir over the weekend with some opposition forces defecting to the government side......

Tehran saw their biggest anti-government protests today since 2012. Could have the potential to go somewhere this time if we offer the people moral support.
