I don’t think so. The Left hasn’t been scoring many points against Trump, but once in a while they are going to get in a good hit.
Case in point; these images of kids in cages crying for their mommys. Dishonest but yet very effective propaganda piece and it drew blood.
Part of war is picking your battles and knowing when you are outgunned. Trump was smart to walk away from this one.
I remember when the Democrats came up wth the mushroom cloud ad against Goldwater in 1964. It was completely dishonest, since up until then wartime presidents had been almost exclusively Democrats including HFK and LBJ. Goldwater’s whole thing was peace through strength -
But propaganda doesn’t have to be true in order to be devastatingly effective.
I’m glad Trump has enough sense to cut his losses.
Sad, but true. It’s one of the reasons that I’m not optimistic about the future of the country.
