What I see, at a shallow glance, is the typical Hollywood style Mutually Exploitative Relationship.
Was Anthony an older, uglier, very irritable and cranky, past his sexual prime celebrity? Seems so. Are we to assume he was Mr. Faithful and just wanted to marry and care for the “love of his life?” Maybe. But if typical he was a horny old man using a hot young woman and offering money, and power.
As for her she is was quite likely the typical hot young thing who takes it from a man she doesn’t love and isn’t attracted to for the kicks, the money, the career help.
Mutually exploitative.
Perhaps Anthony got the short end of the stick this time, who knows? But probably he gave the short end to others in his time. What do his ex wives say?
A man looking for true love looks for a peer, a soulmate, someone he can relate to. Not just the closest thing to a centerfold. Of course she “cheated” (they weren’t married!) with an attractive younger man. That is her peer.

Well said. Among certain bitter guys on FR and elsewhere, the woman is always at fault. But you put it in truthful perspective. Why anyone would kill themselves over eye candy when they have an 11 year old child to look after is beyond me.
His current girlfriend is 42 years old. Certainly younger, but not obscenely so. It’s too bad he didn’t stay committed to the mother of his daughter, but who knows.
