Big deal. I once cut down a tree with a .357 magnum.
We were on private land with about a mile of forest behind the target. I hit the target then saw a 3” diameter tree falling down about 50 ft past the target.
Must have hit a weak spot or something.
I once cut down a pine sapling with a .22. It took a while.
Two of us shot a hornet’s nest with 00 buck shot simultaneously, sure that it would pretty much wipe out the nest. The effectively disappeared. But the tree limb came down about 10’ away as well. And the hornet’s did not all die.
I became French in a flash. Dropped the shotgun and ran faster than I thought capable. Nobody got stung, but heart failure was a real risk.
