"he listens to men screaming at night being raped....he smells blood all the time.....he described to me one night he heard what sounded like a butter knife being thrust into a piece of meat to find out that the man next to him had just been stabbed in the neck by another inmate!"
"Karen" on Facebook recounts her Saturday June 2nd visit with Greg Burleson at Allenwood Federal Prison in Pennsylvania.
Greg Burleson was convicted in the first Bunkerville Standoff trial and sentenced last July to 68 years in prison.
The exculpatory evidence proving Burleson's innocence was successfully hidden by the federal government in his trial, but would be exposed during the trial of key defendants leading to a mistrial and dismissal of charges against many of the defendants.
He was transferred to a Level 3 maximum security federal prison (Allenwood) near Williamsport, Pennsylvania some months after his sentencing. Last Saturday June 2nd was the first day he was allowed to receive visitors since he arrived at Allenwood.
Since his arrest in 2016 Burleson's health has deteriorated further than it was when was arrested. He is blind.
"Karen" who visited him just a few days ago was able to spend six hours with Greg who expressed some despair about not hearing from those he was in prison with out in Pahrump, Nevada but are not free men.
He would like to hear from them.
In her "Facebook post Karen says:
"Please help me help Greg. If anyone has any suggestions, any contacts, anything that you feel may help, please contact me. I cant do this alone and I am open to listen."
Last week I noted that President Trump should intervene not just with the man who helped him during the campaign in 2016 but to pardon all three Bunkerville prisoners including Greg Burleson.
Elected officials here in Pennsylvani where I live need to take an interest in this man's case. He was convicted in a rigged trial and did not deserve to have been so wronged by the federal prosecutors in the case, not to mention the judge who was so willing to believe their lies and obfuscation for so long.
I made it clear to a political pitch caller for Congressman Lou Barletta I had no real interest in his contest with Bob Casey but I had much more interest in seeing Greg Burleson freed from Allenwood prison here in Pennsylvania.
Lou Barletta need to get on this matter and on the matter with his friend in the White House, President Donald J. Trump ASAP.

Beyond belief. 68 years.
What’s the average sentence for murder these days? 25 to life?
He pisses off the BLM and that’s worse apparently.
The average murderer only serves about 7 years.
Probably more for getting in the way of a Harry Reid land grab scheme than for annoying the BLM.
“Greg Burleson was convicted in the first Bunkerville Standoff trial and sentenced last July to 68 years in prison.”
Name of judge, prosecutor and federal district?
The prosecutor was Steven Myhre in Nevada US Attorney’s Office along with US District Judge Gloria M. Navarro.
Myhre a Republican and Navarro a Democrat.
I don't know all the particulars but pointing guns at ‘federal’ agents is never going to end well regardless if you shoot or not. Even so 68 years is certainly above and beyond fitting the crime.....looks to me like they're trying to set an example so that people don't attempt this in any other venue.
How soon everyone forgets.
Perhaps Nextrush can enlighten you on the whole sordid story around Burleson’s small role in the Bundy saga.
The government’s case was shown to be fraudulent and biased, so much so that the Obama anti-American Spanish “judge” Navarro couldn’t even cover for them and had to throw out the entire case. Unfortunately Burleson had already gone down.
December 2017 Sessions put an investigation on how that investigation was handled. So I suspect we’ll see.
No, you sure don't.
Quote;”As I understand it pointing guns at federal agents and threatening them so that Bunday could avoid paying cow grazing fees is what this case was about...and wasn’t there a separate issue about Bundy stealing public land?”
There appears to still be a lot of misunderstanding regarding the whole issue. I would say wrong on both counts and if the information about Burleson is correct why is a blind man going to prison for allegedly pointing a gun at federal agents?
Nextrush has been a point man on much of what has taken place so far. It might be worthwhile to focus on Burleson as a real live victim in prison for what most others have been exonerated. Do we have the information necessary for mail contact? Do we know more about the blindness and when it happened. Do we have links to a website if there is one? Is there a family support group? Is there any support for retrial, or is a trial necessary to bring justice? Sixty eight years in the Federal pen would demoralize the strongest of individuals.
Seems to me there is an opportunity to right a very serious wrong.
Well if you’re not paying land grazing fees, which all other ranchers agreed is warranted and pay their share, than there’s a serious disconnect.....especially Bundy having been in the courts time and again and again since the early 90’s and lost those cases.....Ultimately calling militia’s to come to his aid with loaded guns etc. pointed at Federal Agents. This had no way a desired nor favorable.
From the records I’ve read thus far both sides were in a bad place and position. Again, no favorable outcome for either.
....”Seems to me there is an opportunity to right a very serious wrong”.....
Did you see the video where Burleson actually said he wanted to k*l*l Federal Agents? I just think there’s more to this guy then we are privy too. ..so perhaps examining the investigation itself is the only way to discover the facts.
I just think theres more to this guy then we are privy too.
That I can certainly believe, but 68 years? No other sentence that I am aware of even came close. Something doesn’t smell right. I would think a mental institution might be a better place for someone wanting to do in federal agents, but didn’t. So wanting to and doing are two different things one seems to be in the “thought crime” arena. No I didn’t see the video.
