She lost because she was a repulsive candidate that did not campaign.

I seriously think that her lack of campaigning was a calculated move. She was so unpleasant that if she had spent any significant time campaigning, she would have driven away voters in even larger numbers. She was counting on the media to propagandize on her behalf and on corrupt voting officials to manufacture enough votes to turn the election.

An astute observation, FRiend, although I suspect nobody will ever ‘fess up to this being a deliberate strategy.

For my part, I never could stand listening to her screeching for even two minutes.

And when news of the “deplorables” speech broke, my reaction was: “The evil old witch just lost the election.

Of course, this was before the release of Trump’s crude — if accurate — locker room talk in the Access Hollywood tape.

So, even now, I don’t give myself much credit as a prognosticator. Take away a relative handful of votes in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan, and we could have had President Hitlery.
