Another magnificent and epic composition from the master, Thomas Bergersen. Real music for your Saturday evening.
Best played on a world-class audio system.
I like the Tom Jones version;)
I sometimes regret selling all my Two Steps From Hell collections, but it was just too hard to resist the money at the time.
Bergersen can’t write a wrong note, it seems.
Pretty certain they’re using his partner Nick’s $600 Choir software pkg, Hollywood Choirs Diamond Edition

I have a lot of their music on my MP3.
Not my “cup of tea” but excellent audio!
Fascinating. I know Bergersen works a lot with the Sofia Session Orchestra in Bulgaria.
Ain’t it now?
There’s other Choir software but that 1 is tops.
For your orchestra Spitfire Audio is unparalleled.

Loads of fascinating vids on youtube to get you up and running with these packages.
These tools are just amazing. Had no idea that the state of the art had advanced so much.
This really sets free a really talented composer.
Might want to bookmark this interview for later.
Mark Isham on Film Scoring.
It’s not what it used to be.

Getting in is still no cakewalk, but with today’s tools you can produce edit and mix real product without needing those political connections.
And Christian Henson - of Spitfire Audio - is an absolute gem. Lots of his vids are prefaced with an Adult Language warning up front.

Koss ESP-950’s tonight, Carver AL iii’s tomorrow.
Never heard a bad piece from TSFH. Never even heard a bad note !
Thanks for posting.
Somewhat off topic, but with the discussion on the choir at the end, does anybody else find the soprano synth voice at about the 12:30 mark on side 1 of Heaven and He’ll to be the voice of an Angel. Goosebumps every time.
Pure Epicness !
Thanks for posting.
Found a link to the whole album on the sidebar...
Nice rig. You’ll hear all that there is to hear. I’m playing this through Maggie 3.7is driven by an ARC DSi200 and CD5 player. Just awesome.
Just for curiosity’s sake - what are you using to drive your AL IIIs?

Carver Silver 9-T monoblocks. Circa mid ‘90’s. A lot of people didn’t like them on other speakers but they sound fantastic paired with the Carver ribbons.
Yes,m I seem n to recall n that there was some controversy over these. They didn’t sound good with some speakers, but with others, there was some amazing synergy. They seemed to do well with difficult loads like electrostats and your ALS IIIs. Have you checked out Carvers Sunfire Series II amps?
Same with my ARC DSi200 aND Maggie 3.7is. From their earliest days, Magneplanars and Audio Research gear always seemed especially harmonious together. That’s a love affair that has never grown old for me. It’s a combo that utterly disappears when you turn them on. Huge soundstage and layer upon layer of detail.
