It didnt help my peripheral neuropathy at all. Nothing else has either. Just saying. Good luck.
I have neuropathy in feet for at least 10 years. I was poked and prodded from all kinds of things and ruled out the common ones like diabetes and vitamin deficiencies. Turns out I have arthritis at my L5. I noticed that when I went to a chiropractor when I threw my back out that sometimes I would get feeling back in my toes. About a year ago I stubbed my toe so hard that it bled but I didn’t feel it. That got me thinking about the chiropractor again. After some research, I bought an inversion table. I hang upside down about 5 minutes a day and in a few weeks the numbness started going away and after a few months it was almost gone. I started at a slight inversion angle and worked by way to a steeper angle over time.
If I stop for a few days, the numbness starts coming back and I go back handing upside down again. I am assuming that the cause for my numbness was spinal and the inversion table relieved the pressure. It worked for me but it’s probably not for everyone. Since you are handing upside down by your ankles, you need to have legs and ankles strong enough to support your weight. Also, if you have sinus issues, wow, not a good feeling when hanging.
Have you tried a combination mineral pill containing
Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc? It helped with my toe pains.
I buy the generic brand of “Naturalist” found over the counter.
I too, was prescribed Gabapentin, and did some reading on it when I got home. Was told that one should not just stop it suddenly. Was told that some people gain weight on it, and the weight does not come off very easily, if at all.
I am already fat. I don’t really need any help getting even fatter.
So, for me those two qualities were dealbreakers.
I keep the Gaba around, just in case my pain returns and is
not treatable by the Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc tablets.
I make sure to eat a piece of bread or something for the first few days. The dose for this manufacturer is three pills up to three times daily. As needed for that type of pain. If you don’t need it that day, don’t take it that day. After a few weeks, I stopped having that pain.
This was post foot surgery on my right foot. The nerve pain was in my left foot.
i got PN too from chemo- you haven’t found anything to help huh? I suppose not much can be done to repair damaged nerves- They say benfotiamine and alpha lipoic acid are supposed to help- but I’ve been taking them over a month now with no discernible change in numbness/pain
In 2003, PN was traced to household mold. As I open three (closed-up) cottages per season, it makes sense that I have PN.
