It’s almost the summer of 2018. If the President hasn’t fired Sessions by now I can only assume he wants him there for some reason.
This is what I believe. Trump isn’t keeping someone around for a year he isn’t happy with. Sessions was the guy he picked first to hang around during his campaign. To think Trump would keep a guy around who didn’t do what he wanted, the one he seemed to trust the most makes no sense.
But that's just speculation, and there are many other possible reasons he hasn't fired him YET. Bottom line I take Trump's repeated statements to the press and on Twitter that Sessions and the DOJ are total disgraces as the best representation of his actual opinion. His critical statements also match up with the despicable DOJ behavior I've seen such as the recent raid on Trump's personal lawyer.
