If we stuck with New Testament exhortations, Christianity would exist only in the history books. It’s our repeated references to the passages about what was done to the Amalekites that fueled our victory over the heathen scum that would have killed us to the last man, woman and child. It certainly wasn’t the influence of the New Testament that led to our incineration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
