Personally, I want to see the proxy war between the Saudis (and Israel) and the Iranians.

We can loan stuff to the Saudis and to Israel, but I would prefer our military personnel stay out of the fighting.

I do expect the Iranian Republican guard to do something stupid and challenge either a US naval vessel or US aircraft. If and when that happens, I hope that all Middle Easter US forces go full in on leveling every military target that has Iranian personnel at it in Iran, Syria, Yemen, etc.

If there were any military action in the middle east I'd support, it would be against Iran. The Persians never had to answer for taking our embassy during Carter's failed presidency. Never answered for humiliating our patrol boat crew in the Persian gulf or for designing/providing advanced IED’s in Iraq/Afghanistan that has wounded and or killed hundreds of U.S. military personnel.

They carry on...death to America. Wonder how they'd feel after the FULL weight of the American military came against them along with the might of Israel.

Actually, the Iranians have been planning the war for some years now. It was when they began to upgrade existing missile stock piles in Syria and increase shipments of more missiles that Israel struck.

The Iranian political victory in Lebanon a few days ago was one of the last pieces needed by Iran to take out Israel and completed its overland route to the Med as well as insuring the route for the Iranian oil pipeline to the Med. (Iran now controls most of Syria and jointly with Russia on the coast, Lebanon/Hezbollah and Hamas.)

DJT’s actions were not relevant to the Iranian plans already in motion, but formed one more excuse to proceed on schedule.
