Car break ins are getting to be quite common in my neighborhood. We call them car door checkers. They go through the neighborhood at night checking for people who have left their cars unlocked. Then they steal what they can. Occasionally they will actually break into a car which is rare.
I have security cameras and have given the recordings to the police in trying to help catch these guys. I am in the process of upgrading my cameras yet again.

So, the law allows them to steal from you too. Money spent on security is the same thing as stealing your wealth.
In my city the police don’t give a damn about criminal activity caught on security cameras.
They are union and very lazy. Plus they seek out law-abiding white people to target and avoid real crime committed by hardened criminals of color, because it is safer for them. They overtly avoid contact with criminals. I see it with their selective blindness.
Thus, there is no point in having security cameras.
Same here.

If they doing it on private land in Texas, they’re putting their lives at stake...particularly if they’re ‘lucky’ enough to find an unlocked car.
You mean the tweekers on bicycles? Yep, they’re like cockroaches as they come out at night. They’re usually sporting a backpack. I live in San Jose and see em all the time. I’m usually awake till midnight and frequently look at my window for them and almost pray one of them attempts to break into my truck so I can confront him and ruin his night. A couple hard raps to their hands and wrists will slow them down.
I had my car rifled in my driveway, then they put everything back in the car, when making their escape they saw the video camera aimed at the car..lol
