That has been my pet peeve for as long as I can remember. People fill their garages full of yard sale junk and then park their $30-40k car in the driveway. I live in a country club neighborhood and very few people use their garages. BMW’s and Mercedes parked in the driveways. We have always used our garage for both cars. People can’t tell if we’re home or not (for break ins, and our cars are safe and out of the elements.
Just irritates me. Lol

We’ve had homes with 2 car garages since 1983. We have NEVER found it necessary to leave our cars outside. Currently we have LOTS of shelving, 2 cars and a motorcycle in our garage & I can walk anywhere needed in the garage.

Stuff that is infrequently accessed is stored in the attic. It’s worth the little extra effort to free up the space.

Every couple of years we do a complete evaluation and reorganization of the garage. Stuff isn’t used for a couple of years it gets gone unless there is a special reason.

BTW, the same people that whine about their cars getting hit by thieves, also got nailed last year in a nasty hailstorm we had. Just doesn’t sink in, though. Still parking outside. I don’t think one of them is parking in the garage now.
