A couple of years ago I met an old-timer in Massachusetts who said he was a direct descendant of the guy who stole them. He told me where the four cannon, or some of them, are today. They are in different locations, IIRC. I do not recall ever hearing about them before that.

I haven't read the book, but The Road to Concord: How Four Stolen Cannon Ignited the Revolutionary War is supposed to explain how these cannons were instrumental in igniting the war.
