Yup- we was coated in double-black when them F4`s was landing screaming at NAS Alameda in `68.
I’ll bet. When I was a kid riding my minibike in a motorcycle park, a beautiful Blue Angels F-4 screamed over - looked like 50 feet. Maybe it was 100.
I didn’t have a chance to look at the contrail as I was going up a hill. All I saw was this flash of blue and yellow 150-200 feet in front of me in the sky.
Obviously there was an air show going on. I don’t remember the year but I’m guessing it was at Tinker.
