I place no stock whatsoever in friendly matches, and only watch those where two countries really dislike each other (Peru & Ecuador, for example). Otherwise, they are like the Pro Bowl; nobody is going to risk serious talent - especially months before the World Cup. The US can play their hearts out because at best they won’t be in the World Cup for four years and a few months...
Spain number 1. How will that affect the US Nat’s World Cup draw? Oh, yeah . . .. I guess we won’t get put into the “Group of Death” this year.
It takes some effort to get excited this WC. I am sure when the games begin, it will be fun. Thanks for posting and keeping us interested, Berlin_Freeper.

Fact is, one more international Murder by Moscow and no one will be showing up.
As always thanks for posting.
The World Cup supersedes politics, and most countries have no interest in the Russia/Britain spat. I don’t know anyone cares; they showed up for the Olympics while Russia seized part of Ukraine...
No Italy, no Netherlands. All things being equal, Germany always seems a good bet to make the final. How about France? And of course the South American powers Brazil and Argentina.
