This is often an effective strategy after a failed Windows 10 update. After about 3 power offs, it will attempt an automatic repair. I've seen this several times on one of my older machines, and it has been successful each time.

Thanks for the hot tip - even though you can't really codify that into actual computer analysis.

I would be embarrassed trying to explain that as a professional, but whatever works, works.    smiling face
