President Donald Trump has caused yet another uproar as he calls for a slew of tariffs and taxes to be charged to countries which tariff and tax US exports. If we were to rely solely on the complicit media, this would appear to a disastrous bit of policy making that will doom American industry…But that ignores the reality of how trade imbalances actually work.
This all began with a Tweet from the president that soon turned into an alleged policy. He said: “We must protect our country and our workers. Our steel industry is in bad shape. IF YOU DON’T HAVE STEEL, YOU DON’T HAVE A COUNTRY!”

I do not understand how somehow trade with the US became a right and not a privilege.

Maybe Trump should float the idea of Repealing the 16th Amendment in favor of “impost and excise” taxes like the COnstitution says and worked for 150 years
More tariffs will hurt Walmart and eventually the American shopper. Try to find products there that are made in America instead of China.
We tried the 0 tariffs for 20 plus years and was PROVEN DISASTROUS!...
It’s called reciprocal trade. We tax other countries the same way they tax us.

Because if we do not the business moves to the country with the higher tariff.
Why would a business do that?
Answer: Because that way they can sell BOTH to China and the United States for free.
If they stay in the United States and try to sell to China they are TAXED THROUGH TARIFFS.
Why is this so hard to figure out???
We watched the slow industrialization of the United States over the last 20 years. Just like we were warned. Even the Globalists admitted it was the deindustrialization of the United State and that we better get use to it.
Rigged ONE WAY TRADE that the Globalists loves created massive trade deficits, massive job loss, weakening of U.S. dollar, more pollution (factories in countries w/less regulation), less savings, less investment in America, etc. over the last 20 years.
We were a super power with tariffs before these RIGGED ONE WAY TRADE SCAMS.
Reciprocal trade is the only way to do thinks and it’s fair.

Trump’s tariffs have nothing to do with national defense or avoiding world government. He is seeking to transfer wealth from industries that use steel to industries that produce steel. What’s so fair about that? And what about consumers who will have to pay more for cars? Localities that will find it more expensive to replace a steel bridge? Homeowners who want to buy solar panels to get off the grid?
What’s fair about a company closing American plants and moving to Mexico, to pay low wages and then selling their stuff back to American consumers with no penalty? You have to have a job to buy a car. You have to have a tax base to rebuild your bridge. Americans cannot survive on the wages paid to foreign workers. These companies moved because they wanted to pay low wages. Regulations were a part of that, but not the main cause.
The tariffs will be folly if American aluminium and steel do not reinvest any windfall into means of production.
50 pieces of silver to surrender our rights? Meanwhile the debt and trade imbalace goes up with a huge cost for future generations.
I will choose that over Walmart Chinese junk, which is just addictive foreskin pushed by the like of Kinsey and Rockefeller, thank you.
Seriously, ascertaining our rights is not going to increase cost of living.
Telling Mexico has a right and not mere privilege for being a trading partner is not only surrendering sovereignty but inviting straigt up terrorism.
I think we can sacrifice a few Wallmart junk purchases for that
