Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

So true! If I knew then what I know now. What did we know then? Sessions, like Trump was strong on enforcing immigration law and tough on crime so that was a good fit. Trump owed Sessions for his early, vociferous, and unwavering support. Seemed like a great reward for Sessions. In normal times its a good decision. Trump had decided after winning, that he was going to heal the nation and would not go after Hillary or make war with the left, he was going to implement his program, MAGA and win reelection. He then got blindsided with the deep state democrat coup and the Russian collusion bullshit. He now needed a strong ideologue prosecutorial AG ready to ruthlessly go after the democrats and their deep state accomplices. Sessions timid recusal on the Russia probe would have been appropriate 40 years ago when we were still a semblance of a constitutional republic, but absurd after 8 years of Eric Holder, and Loretta Lynch. It wasn’t like we hadn’t seen this movie. Sessions recusing was analogous to trading you Queen for a pawn in a chess game, leaving the king naked without protection and not having sufficient firepower to attack the enemy.
The past year of Russia, Russia, Russia nonsense has been a direct result of of an absurdly naive decision made without consulting the person who had just hired you to do the job. Sessions, made a personal decision that the entire nation has been punished for without consulting the man just elected by 60 million people to drain the swamp. My animosity towards Jeff Sessions knows no bounds
Neither does mine.
