G. Gordon Liddy once used his radio program to state that any Secret Service agents who planned to visit him at his home had better do so "with their heads encased in Kevlar."

He had to walk that back, and in fact did meet with them a few days later.

I thought the comment, in response to someone who called in and ask him what he would do if a federal agent came to his door to take his guns, was "I'd go for the head shot, they usually wear body armor"

But I may be thinking of a different Liddy comment (he was known to make some off the wall ones)...

Yes, I remember that one too!

But he definitely said "encased in Kevlar." Just before a commercial break.

I remember that specific reference made by Liddy. That did create a little firestorm for a few days as I recall.
