At that price point, who is seriously concerned with fuel economy? Since when is BMW an SJW vehicle?
I think it has to do with a manufacturer’s overall fuel economy across their fleet. One gas sipper allows for the V8 version to stick around.
Dunno if sales has anything to do with it, just smug emissions and feel good.
