I agree wholeheartedly with your position.

However, parents must be willing to give up government daycare; a tough sell when both parents must work, one to feed the family, the other to feed the government.

Parents must be willing to give up a lot more.

They just don’t want to do without in most cases and think they need that extra income to get it.

But when you factor in all the costs of working outside the home, if one party quits their job, they are really only losing 25% of their take home pay, which can be made up in other ways.

We lived on mr. mm’s income, which was adequate, but not exorbitant. We bought what we could afford, and din’t what we couldn’t. We drove each vehicle for 10 years, until we HAD to replace it.
