democrats: Pay no attention to the past President who failed to act!

In the aftermath of the indictments Mueller rolled out against 13 Russians, democrats revved up the hyperbole machine in a preemptive effort to protect against criticism of their own failures.

Carl Bernstein started seeing conspiracies despite Rod Rosenstein's words:

“There’s no allegation in this indictment that any American had any knowledge. And the nature of the scheme was the kept defendants took extraordinary steps to make it appear that they were ordinary American political activists, even going so far as to base their activities on a virtual private network here in the United States so if anybody traced it back to the first jump, they appeared to be Americans.”
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) wants war declared against Russia:
Friday on MSNBC’s “All In,” Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said Russian interference with U.S. elections and political processes that resulted in 13 indictments against Russian nationals was “equivalent” to the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japanese in 1941.
He insists that 13 Russian trolls posting smack on the internet are the same as 2300 dead in Pearl Harbor.

democrats have begun hammering Trump for not doing something that obama didn't do:

Still, numerous Democrats seized on the indictment, with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) lamenting that Trump “denies reality” by minimizing Russia’s offensives and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) slamming Trump for presenting no “strategic plan to confront the Russians.”That was the "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" moment.
OK, now for some fun facts

Russia began efforts to mess with US elections in 2014- a year before Trump even announced his candidacy.

The Russian government had a strategic goal to “sow discord in the U.S. political system, including the 2016 presidential election” the indictment reads. The indictment also revealed activity pursued by the Russians to organize political rallies, building partisan social media audiences across the political spectrum, and funding political stunts.

According to Mueller, the Russian government created a sub agency known as the “translator project” which was “focused on the U.S. population and conducted operations on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube” adding that the strategic goal of interfering in the 2016 US election was developed all the way back in May 2014.

The stated goal within the department was to spread “distrust towards candidates at the political system in general.”

It was in 2014 that Devin Nunes warned about Russians trying to meddle in US elections:
He wrote that the Russian government led by Russian President Vladimir Putin is a "pressing threat to American interests" and pointed to an op-ed he wrote in April 2014, a month prior to when Mueller said Russia began its 2016 election interference campaign, in which he warned of the danger of Russian "influence operations" around the world following a trip to Eastern Europe and Ukraine following the seizure of Crimea.

"The House Intelligence Committee has been investigating these threats for many years: in 2014 – the year the Russians began their operation targeting the 2016 elections – I warned about Russia’s worldwide influence operations," he wrote.

Further, he noted that he said in April 2016 during a CNN interview, in the midst of the 2016 primary season, that the U.S.’ failure to predict Putin’s strategy is "the biggest intelligence failure that we’ve had since 9/11."

obama learned of Russian attempts to influence the election in 2015. He did nothing.

This “Russia, Russia, Russia” hysteria ginned up by the media and our government reminds me of the way the Soviets used to blame the US for whatever to focus Russian public opinion.

It’s both sad and funny that the Soviet agit-prop against the US over the years was eventually successful, and has turned us into something of a dangerous monster, capable of lashing out in our blmaming. As a people, we used to have common sense and be largely immune to such foolishness.

Mueller's indictment of the Russians has created a huge mess internationally for foreign operating U.S. officials. They better get ready to be tried and imprisoned by foreign governments on similar charges. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

In the aftermath of Mueller's indictments, democrats revved up the hyperbole machine to protect
their sorry behinds against pending accusations. Journo Carl Bernstein started seeing conspiracies....

Conspiracies? Well, I'll be darned. who knew Carl Bernstein was such a true believer.

WHAT CARL BERNSTEIN TRULY BELIEVES (hat tip Michael Kelly)

Carl Bernstein believes President Bill Clinton. And has always believed him. Bernstein believed it when Clinton said he had never been drafted in the Vietnam War. Bernstein even believed him later when Clinton said he had merely “forgotten to mention” that he had been drafted in the Vietnam War.

Bernstein believed him when Clinton he said he hadn’t had sex with Gennifer Flowers and believed him later, when Clinton reportedly said he did bed her down.

Bernstein believes the president did not rent out the Lincoln Bedroom, did not sell access to himself and the vice president to hundreds of well-heeled special pleaders and did not supervise the largest, most systematic money-laundering operation in campaign finance history, collecting more than $ 3 million in illegal and improper donations.

Bernstein believes that Charlie Trie and James Riady were motivated by nothing but patriotism for their adopted country.

Bernstein believed President Clinton when he conceded that his administration mistakenly obtained the FBI files of more than 300 people, including many top Republicans. Bernstein believes it was the result of a “completely honest bureaucratic snafu” involving security clearances.

He believed Clinton’s chief of staff, Leon Panetta, when he told reporters that “obviously a mistake was made” and apologized to the people whose FBI files wound up at the White House. Bernstein believed Clinton when he said “I completely support” what my COS Panetta said about the affair.

Bernstein even believed Vice President Gore when he said that he had made dunning calls to political contributors “on a few occasions” from his White House office, and believed him when he said that, actually, “a few” meant 46. Bernstein apparently believes in no controlling legal authority....but not for Nixon or Trump.

Bernstein believed Bruce Babbitt when he said that the $286,000 contributed to the DNC by Indian tribes opposed to granting a casino license to rival tribes had nothing to do with his denial of the license. He believed the secretary when he said that he had not been instructed in this matter by then-White House deputy chief of staff Harold Ickes.

Bernstein believed him when he said later that he had told lobbyist and friend Paul Eckstein that Ickes had told him to move on the casino decision, but that he had been lying to Eckstein and Bernstein agreed with the secretary that it is an outrage that anyone would question his integrity.

Bernstein firmly believes in the “Clinton Standard” of adherence to the nation’s campaign finance and bribery laws, enunciated by the president on March 7, 1997: “I don’t believe you can find any evidence of the fact that I had changed government policy solely because of a contribution.”

An accomplished wordsmith, Bernstein noted with approval the use of the word “evidence” and also the use of the word “solely.”

Bernstein believes as Clinton does that it is proper to change government policy to address the concerns of people who have given the president money, as long as nobody can find evidence of this being the "sole" reason.

Bernstein believes president Clinton lived up to his promise to preside over the most ethical administration in American history that indicted former agriculture secretary Mike Espy did not accept $35,000 in illegal favors from Tyson Foods and other regulated businesses. Bernstein believes that indicted former housing secretary Henry Cisneros did not lie to the FBI and tell others to lie to cover up $250,000 in blackmail payments to his former mistress.

Bernstein believes that convicted former associate attorney general Webster Hubbell was not involved in the obstruction of justice when the president’s minions arranged for Hubbell to receive $ 400,000 in sweetheart consulting deals at a time when he was reneging on his promise to cooperate with Kenneth Starr’s Whitewater investigation.

The discerning Bernstein believes Paula Jones is a cheap tramp who was asking for it that Kathleen Willey is a cheap tramp who was asking for it, and that Monica Lewinsky is a cheap tramp who was asking for it.

Bernstein firmly believes Monica Lewinsky was “just fantasizing” in her 20 hours of taped conversation in which she reportedly detailed her sexual relationship with the president and begged Linda Tripp to join her in lying about the relationship and that any gifts, correspondence, telephone calls and the 37 post-employment White House visits that may have passed between Lewinsky and the president are evidence only of a platonic relationship.

As a well-traveled journo, Bernstein believes such innocent intimate friendships are quite common between middle-aged married men and young single women, and also between presidents of the United States and White House interns. Bernstein sees nothing suspicious in the report that the

president’s intimate pal, Vernon Jordan, arranged a $40,000-per-year job for Lewinsky shortly after she signed but before she filed an affidavit saying she had not had sex with the president. Nor do the investigative reporter read anything into the fact that the ambassador to the United Nations, Bill Richardson, visited Lewinsky at the Watergate to offer her a job.

As a journo, an incisive investigative reporter, and an author, Benstein believes the instructions Lewinsky gave Linda Tripp informing her on how to properly perjure herself in the Willey matter simply wrote themselves.

Bernstein believes, as does Hillary, that The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Newsweek, Time, U.S. News & World Report, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS and NPR are all part of a vast right-wing conspiracy.

When America was a Christian nation, we were impervious to the demonic ideas of Communism and Socialism. However these demonic ideas took over and destroyed the Soviet Union (Russia). Now that the Soviet Union is gone and Russia is a basket case country falling to Islam, the demons have come to America. The wicked shall be cast into hell and all nations that forget God (Psalms 9)...

Luke 11:23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

There’s no allegation in this indictment that any American had any knowledge.

Finally, this statement makes sense. It's not about President Trump & Co., it's cover for Obama who DID have knowledge of this stuff.

Boy, am I slow.

Thanks for the summary.

Carl Bernstein is a commie first, a democrat hack second, and an anti-American creep third.

He doesn't help his cause by actually looking the part.

(He reminds me physically of Jimmah Carter, with the big fat lips and all.)
