I was givern a similar gadget for an industrial accident to my left hand...an oval heated bowl and a supply of wax...immerse hand in warm wax...withdraw and allow to cool....peel off wax.

It was just the right size to de-feather a second duck.

Just had three ligaments repaired in left rotator cuff. Ice and Motrin seem to be the only thing that alleviates the pain to some degree.
